Who are we?
SignWales is Wales first CBC - a Community Interest Company or social enterprise, set up in 2005 to develop videophone services for Deaf people in Wales.
SignWales evolved from a range of projects involving videophones which were carried out by the Deaf Studies Trust in Bristol.
With support from BT and partnership with Motion Media (now AuPix) we have been able to explore what Deaf people want and how to deliver the services which have been requested.
SignWales has also good links with the University of Bristol Centre for Deaf Studies.
We recommend the use of the AuPix AP100 videophone which allows us to offer all the services from the phone pages on this website.
This videophone offers good quality even when there are problems of loss of packets on the line.
As part of the SignWales package we can supply all the equipment that is needed and install it all in the home.
